Taken off with a vengeance

“Our exciting class on prophecy has taken off with a vengeance. Growing in numbers and growing in our knowledge of God’s Word, especially as it relates to the subject of God’s oversight of history past, the present, and the future. Prophecy, after all, is time related. God set time in motion as a part of His creative work and, in doing so, preordained the order of events to fulfill His great purpose on the earth and in the lives of mankind. Prophecy “past” (Biblically) reaches from Gen to Acts 28. Prophecy present scans from Romans to Philemon. Prophecy future – ages to come – flows from Hebrews to Revelation. Look at the prophecy chart on the “page” – note that we are presently living in the age of Grace – the great parenthesis of God’s providence – a time when God, through the gentile peoples of the world is building His church. And, precisely as He laid it out, one day our Lord will break through the eastern sky and call us home to be with Him (the Rapture). The final stages of His prophetic time table will then be activated and truly blessed things occur. What a joy to be a part of His plan.
